Jason Chen of The Hockey News writes that you should add Connor McMichael and Pierre-Luc Dubois to your lineup. Here's more:
"McMichael went through a very long quiet stretch through December and he's yet to score a goal since Jan. 4, but over the past four games he's managed to rack up four assists. He's currently playing L2 and PP2 with Dubois. Dubois is generally the safer and better play in multi-category leagues. He wins draws and provides the occasional hit and block, but most importantly is scoring at the top end of his range at a 65 point pace. "Jason Chen/The Hockey News
Sean Allen of ESPN.com mentioned the goaltenders in Charlie Lindgren and Logan Thompson in the aftermath of Thompson signing the six year contract extension. Allen would say:
"Hopefully signing Thompson to a long-term contract doesn't mess with the dynamic between him and Lindgren that has made Washington into a powerhouse. The team gave Lindgren a couple of consecutive starts upon his return from injury, but we'll see if these two settle back into a 50-50 split again... not that it's been a burden on their fantasy value. "Sean Allen/ESPN.com
PLD currently has nine goals and 22 assists for 31 points in 35 games played since Nov. 10 and has recorded 25 points in his last 26 games with eight goals and 17 assists. He scored his 10th goal of the season on Saturday on the road at the Vancouver Cancuks, reaching the 10 goal mark for the seventh time in his career.
In 49 games this season, Dubois has recorded 39 points with 10 goals and 29 assists. He is one point shy from matching his point total of last season when he was with the Los Angeles Kings. He's also on pace for 48 assists and 65 points this season, both of which would mark career highs. Dubois has recorded seven points with five goals and two assists in 13 career games against the Calgary Flames.
Thompson will get the start in goal tonight in his native city fresh after a big pay day when he was signed to a six year, $35.1 million contract extension on Monday.
