As exciting as the 2014-2015 NHL season was for the Washington Capitals and their fans, the Washington Capitals have given their fans even more reasons to be excited in 2015. Analysts and fans alike agree that the Capitals could be the Stanley Cup favorites after a productive off-season.

Yes, the Washington Capitals have given their fans reasons to be excited before and failed to deliver a Stanley Cup. However, 2015 seems different. The Capitals seem to have a different aura of confidence about them thanks to new additions Justin Williams and T.J. Oshie. Players are legitimately excited to be a part of the team and realize that this team has the potential to be something special. Even though it’s before training camp, the Washington Capitals are already bonding well.

There are a lot of things to be excited about if you’re a Washington Capitals fan. The Caps might have the deepest team that they’ve had since 2009-2010. Unlike that year’s team, this team seems to have a defense that is capable of winning low-scoring affairs. They have found a franchise goaltender who can keep them in pretty much any game.
