Capitals at Rangers: Ovechkin momentum invades the Garden
The Washington Capitals take on the New York Rangers in Wednesday Night Hockey. Here is all the info you need in what should be an exciting game.
Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals head to Madison Square Garden in a Wednesday Night Hockey clash with the New York Rangers. Ovi as we know loves the big stage and he’s had lots of success against the Rangers.
Ovechkin has 33 goals and 20 assists in 57 games against the Blueshirts. His Capitals come to New York as the hottest team in hockey and winners of two straight including on Monday night over the Anaheim Ducks. In that game, Ovechkin struck on the power play for his 15th goal of the season.
That’s right. 15 goals in his 15th season and we’ve just passed the halfway point of November. One burning question before the season began was whether or not he would reach 50 goals. If he keeps this up, it’s not a matter of if but when.

“I have not heard from the league yet, so I don’t have an update for you on that, until they contact me.”
