“Over the past several weeks, the NHL, its Clubs and player community have been very active with gaming initiatives in an effort to connect with fans while social distancing – such as charity tournaments, simulated games and nightly streams. The NHL Player Gaming Challenge presented by Honda will take gaming to another level. With the hockey season paused due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, we’ve seen simulated Caps games broadcasted, we’ve simulated games ourselves, and Alex Ovechkin and Wayne Gretzky went head to head in an NHL 20 matchup for the ages. Now it’s up to Kuznetsov to carry the torch and there’s no doubt he will be able to.
