The Washington Capitals will take the ice this Veteran’s Day for a Monday night tilt with the Arizona Coyotes.

The Washington Capitals will go for their seventh win in a row tonight against a gritty Arizona Coyotes team. With a 9-6-2 record, good for 20 points, the Coyotes are just behind the Winnipeg Jets and Vegas Golden Knights in the Wild Card standings and are within striking distance in the tight Pacific Division.

The Capitals are 13-2-3 and seem to be rolling on all cylinders early in the season with 29 points and leading all the competition. Many players have stepped up and tonight against his former team, Richard Panik is due.

Panik went scoreless in his first eight games with his new club before suffering a shoulder injury that sidelined him for the last 10 games. Now he has a clean slate with a chance to make his impact in the lineup against his former team.

“It wasn’t a good start for me. While sitting out I was thinking about what I could do better, how should I play, what should I bring to the team. This is a good opportunity for me to start over,” Panik told the media following morning skate.
