Washington Capitals fans, want a chance to tell your friends about the best dog in the NHL while in quarantine? Captain needs your help!
You like dogs? You’ve come to the right place because with all that is going on in the world, we need a “man’s best friend” now more than ever to get us through. Captian was introduced to us all on the night of the Washington Capitals home opener.
Captain was nominated for Best Team Dog in the NHL Fan Choice Awards. Believe it or not, he’s one of 10 team dogs in the category with a variety of other team dogs he’s up against.
Those include team dogs: Bolt of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Finn of the San Jose Sharks, Barclay of the St. Louis Blues, Tori of the New York Islanders, Rookie of the Ottawa Senators, Flambo of the Montreal Canadiens, Smash of the Nashville Predators, Luna of the Arizona Coyotes, and Breezer of the Minnesota Wild.

Those are all good boys but we all know Captian is the goodest boy from his Twitter account posts day after day… even during the pause! The best part is that while he continues to posts we keep seeing him grow.
Also be sure to head onto Twitter today and head to the official Capitals team account @Capitals at 5 p.m. eastern for today’s episode of Caps Social featuring believe it or not… the man himself! Captian will join Joe Beninati and Taryn Bray.
That will be fun and as a thank you to doing this we should all massively start voting. You can do it by heading to https://www.nhl.com/fans/nhl-fan-choice-awards and share your votes across your social media platforms by using the official hashtag #NHLFanChoice.
You can vote for Captain for Best Team Dog as well as 19 other categories through June 1.
Good luck Captain!
