This is a must win game for the Washington Capitals.

The Washington Capitals are now in a do or die Game 4. Win and they still play. Lose and their season is over. If you choose to endure this game with tissues and your favorite beverage, here is how to watch.

The Caps have an all time record of 23-21 in Game 4s. Alex Ovechkin has 18 points with eight goals and 10 assists in 20 career Game 4s. Braden Holtby is 7-7 in Game 4s with a 2.20 goals against average and a .922 save percentage.

History is against the Caps but it’s not impossible. Four times in NHL history have teams overcame a 3-0 deficit, most recently the Los Angeles Kings in 2014 against the San Jose Sharks. They’re the only team to do it in the first round. The Kings went on to win the Stanley Cup that year.

It also happened in the 1942 Stanley Cup Final with the Toronto Maple Leafs beating the Detroit Red Wings, in 1975 with the Islanders over the Pittsburgh Penguins and 2010 with the Philadelphia Flyers over the Boston Bruins. It’s also happened in baseball in 2004 with the Boston Red Sox coming back to beat the New York Yankees.

“Obviously, for us right now it’s nothing to lose, right? So, we just have to go out there and play. Don’t think about the score in the series. We’re going to take it game by game… We belive in ourselves,” said Ovechkin.
