More from Capitals News

There hasn’t been much news on the draft front on what the Caps will do. All we know is that they’re going to take the best player available. The biggest news surrounding Caps Nation actually has nothing to do with the draft.

Instead there are rumors and reports that the Caps are pursuing Henrik Lundqvist, who was just bought out by the New York Rangers. Bob McKenzie tweeted late last night that the Caps are front runners to acquire Lundqvist’s services and he has quite the resume on his side.

We have to wait until Friday before that potential contract can become official but we’re liking the clues and the rumors we’ve been hearing so far. First we have to get through tonight with the first round as the Caps will be selecting 24th. Then we see the rest of the draft on Wednesday.

Who will they take with that 24th pick? We can’t wait to find out.
