Islanders vs. Washington Capitals: Date, Time, TV, Streaming, More
The Washington Capitals will debut their new third jerseys in tonight’s game against the New York Islanders. Most importantly, they’ll be looking to bounce back from a shootout loss on Sunday to the Buffalo Sabres.
The Caps will be shorthanded one again with this being the third game of four being out for the Russian four. In addition, as of this writing, there isn’t word yet on whether or not Tom Wilson will play.

The good news is Wilson practiced on Monday and he talked to the media afterward saying he was feeling better. We’ll see where he’s at during the morning skate.
The Caps and Isles take part in a rematch from last season’s first round playoff series in the bubble. That series saw Barry Trotz get revenge on his former team as the Islanders took it in five games. It seemed like the Caps were in the bubble for a second and it resulted in the canning of Todd Reirden.
In their last 10 games against New York, the Caps are 6-4-0. Despite the loss the other night, the Caps still haven’t dropped a regulation game. They carry a 3-0-3 record through their first six games which marks the second time in franchise history they secured a point in their opening six games. The other time was their hot start in 2011-12 when they won their first seven games.
