After beating Tuukka Rask on Wednesday, Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy announced that he will go with Jaroslav Halak in net. Halak has been a villain to the Caps in the, you know what let’s not talk about it.
The Caps had the day off which was well deserved after their fourth win in a row. It was an intense game that had the approval of fans and analysts alike. Tempers flared which is to be expected in this rivalry with an opponent you’ll see eight times.
It was scoreless in the first two periods. In the third David Pastrnak scored for the Bruins before Lars Eller tied it. The game would ultimately be decided in the shootout with Jakub Vrana coming through with the lone goal.
