After a scary third period that saw the Washington Capitals nearly blow a 4-0 lead, the Caps and New York Rangers meet again this time up in the Big Apple at Madison Square Garden. Here is how to watch and more to get you ready for gameday.
Tonight will be the sixth time the Caps will play the Rangers this season. The Caps are 2-3-0 against the Blueshirts. Alex Ovechkin leads the Caps with four goals and four points in five games against the Rangers this season.

Washington enters this game with a 23-7-4 record, good for first place in the MassMutual East Division and tied with the Tampa Bay Lightning for the most points in the NHL with 50.
Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov are on fire, each with three game point streaks while Ovechkin is on a three game goal streak. Tom Wilson, T.J. Oshie, and Nicklas Backstrom are all on two game point streaks.
Ovechkin got off to a slow start this season, thanks in large part to missing games due to COVID protocol but he’s been on fire like the Ovechkin we know and love. He now has 18 goals on the season, good for fifth in the NHL and get this, he only trails Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs by four goals for the league lead.
