The Washington Capitals conclude their five game tri state area road trip with a road contest with the New York Islanders. It’ll be a rematch from Thursday’s loss where the Caps were bullied. Since that game, however, the Caps have played well, finishing off a season sweep of the New Jersey Devils.
Tonight will mark the fifth meeting between the Caps and Islanders this season. The Caps are 3-1-0. John Carlson leads the Caps with seven points with four goals and three assists against the Islanders and Nicklas Backstrom leads the team with six assists.
