The Washington Capitals have to play their best game of the season if they want to stay alive. We’ve broke down everything so far and we’ve got one more for you with everything you need to know and (if you want to possibly cry) how to watch the game.

There will be some changes to the lineup based on what we’ve heard from morning skate today at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. Daniel Sprong will be in the lineup. Here is what the rest of the lines will look like via Samantha Pell of The Washington Post:

Ilya Samsonov was the first goalie off the ice meaning he will most likely get the start in goal tonight.

Alex Ovechkin is on a four game point streak with two goals and two assists as well as a two game goal streak. He scored his 71st career playoff goal on Friday night. That moved him past Steve Yzerman for 16th place on the league’s all time list. He also tied Brian Trottier for 16th on the list and climbed within one of matching Patrick Marleau for most among active players.

In his career, Ovechkin has recorded 61 points with 29 goals and 32 assists in 56 career playoff games immediately following a playoff loss.

The Caps have a 19-24 record in Game 5s and an even 14-14 record at home. Additionally, Washington is 9-9 in Game 5s when they trail the series 3-1. Ovechkin has 17 points with 10 goals and seven assists in 19 career Game 5s.

The Caps have recorded 42 playoff wins since 2015, tied for the second most wins in the NHL during that span with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Tampa Bay Lightning lead with 56.
