Capitals report cards for another odd season

Time to hand out more grades

Now that the Washington Capitals season has been over for a while, it's report card time! We'll each do one player little by little that contributed to the Caps this season but today we'll start off with a basic outview slideshow of the important players that helped the Caps to the short lived postseason.

Nick Jensen: B-

"Jensen proved his reliability up until that bitter play which earns an above average grade from us".

Alex Ovechkin: A-

He's 41 away from the record even if it took riding a camel in Dubai. He's almost there folks.

Sonny Milano: B

Milano proved that he can score the question heading into next season is will his five on five ice time go up.

Dylan Strome: A

CJ writes that Strome was probably the most important player on this Capitals team. He also mentioned another player which you can check out here. But both were major keys to the Caps making the playoffs.

Aliakisei Protas B-

Protas' advanced stats are beyond average.

Anthony Mantha: F

Teacher said we had to grade everybody.

Michael Sgarbossa C

Sgarbossa did all he had to do in the regular season with the Bears and when his name was called up with the Caps.

Connor McMichael B+

Ethan Bear

Nic Dowd B+

Nicklas Backstrom: C

Another hard one to grade.

Alex Alexeyev: C

This upcoming season may be his chance to prove himself.

Darcy Kuemper: D

From CJ: "At the end of the day, he lost his starting job."
